My Gallery inspired by Ancient Egypt

:flame:Sekhmet.

"The Mighty One", with the head of a lioness, was a warrior goddess of destruction. She was spreading diseases and death. But she could also cure, and so her priests were healers, too.

In the myth of the Eye of Râ, Mankind rebelled itself against the king Râ. That one decided to send his Eye, transformed in the lioness Sekhmet, to put down the rebellion.
Sekhmet slaught nearly all the men, and her father Râ wanted to stop the massacre. But the lioness refused. So Râ asked his servants to melt red pomegranate with beer, and flood a field. Next morning, Sekhmet woke up and saw the field flooded with what she though was blood; she drank until drunkenness and forgot her duty.
(Morality: Alcohol is Mankind's Saviour?... =D )
