Anubis, Lord of the Necropolis

Description

My other Egyptan Gods
Detail of his head

Anubis giving to the Ammit a heart to devour.

The dead one, in order to reach the after-life, has to have his heart weighted.
After having sworn he did any bad things during his life, Anubis takes his heart and weights it with the Maat feather (Maat is the embodiement of the social order).
If the heart is as heavy as the feather, it means the dead can go to Osiris' lands, among the other "Ahu": the "Glorious Deads".
But if the heart is heavier, meaning the dead was a bad person, he's eaten by the Ammit (crocodile head, lion front legs, hippopotamus back legs). He can't reach the second life. He is anihilated, and so returns the chaos (the non-being) (In my drawing, the back ground represents the chaos; no light can reach it; the damned ones, ennemies of Pharaoh and the gods are represented up-side down, asexual, in great sufferings)

About the drawing it-self:
:bulletred: The background represents the non-being.
:bulletred: Anubis has a canine head, its black colour representing "revival". And he's not a furry, please :please: . He's a human with an animal head.
:bulletred: His bracelets represent: Nephthys his mother, Osiris his father, the Wdja Eye (representing the recovered fullness).
:bulletred:The panther head was an ornament of the "sem" priests, who were revitalizing the mummy.

And why is everybody thinking he's a bad deity?? Stop playing video games. Open books. :(
